The C320 uses dynamic 40 mm neodymium speaker drivers tuned to the wideband frequency range your voice occupies during speech. Unlike narrowband devices that cut off above 3.4 kHz, our wideband implementation captures overtones and sibilants that make voices sound natural rather than muffled.
The unidirectional noise-canceling microphone sits on a flexible boom you can position within an inch of your mouth. Its cardioid pickup pattern rejects sound from the sides and rear, so keyboard clatter and nearby conversations stay out of your transmission. We tested the microphone in contact centers with ambient noise levels around 65 dB and measured rejection rates above 70 percent for sounds originating more than 18 inches from the boom tip.
Comfort engineering for extended wear
We padded the C320’s headband with memory foam covered in a moisture-wicking fabric that stays cool during back-to-back calls. The leatherette ear cushions create a light seal around your ears without clamping pressure — total headset weight is just 3.2 ounces.
The steel-reinforced slider mechanism inside the headband extends smoothly and locks into any of twelve positions without squeaking or slipping. The rotating boom hinge uses a friction disk that holds the microphone at your preferred angle but still lets you flip it up and out of the way when you’re listening to training videos or music between calls.
Inline controls & quick-disconnect cable
The inline controller houses four buttons — answer/end, mute, volume up, and volume down — plus a multicolor LED that shows call status and mute state. You can answer an incoming softphone call, adjust volume mid-conversation, and mute your microphone without touching your keyboard or mouse.
Our quick-disconnect (QD) feature splits the cable into two segments: a short coiled section permanently attached to the headset, and a longer straight section that plugs into your computer’s USB port. The two segments lock together with a quarter-turn, and you can unplug the headset side to step away from your desk while leaving the USB side connected. This is faster than unplugging and replugging USB every time you need a break, and it protects the port from repeated insertion cycles.

Yes. The C320 is certified for Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, RingCentral, and most other softphones and unified communications platforms. The inline answer/end button triggers call pickup and hangup in compliant applications, and the headset registers as a standard USB audio device with no additional drivers required.
The C320 connects via USB-A only, so it’s designed for computers and laptops. If you need to connect to a traditional desk phone with an RJ-9 jack, consider our Blackwire C520 model, which includes both USB and 3.5 mm connectivity, or our EncorePro series with direct desk-phone adapters.
The total cable length is approximately six feet from the inline controller to the USB-A plug. The coiled section between the headset and the controller extends and retracts to give you movement range at your desk, while the straight section runs to your computer. The quick-disconnect feature lets you unplug the headset side without removing the USB plug.
The C320 uses a unidirectional noise-canceling microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern. It actively rejects sound from the sides and rear, blocking keyboard noise, nearby conversations, and ambient office chatter. Yes. Replacement leatherette ear cushions for the C320 are available as a separate accessory kit. The cushions pull off the speaker housings and new ones press back on without tools. We recommend replacing them annually in high-use environments or whenever the leatherette starts cracking or peeling.
The C320 has dedicated volume-up and volume-down buttons on the inline controller, so you can adjust call and media volume without opening your operating system’s sound settings or your softphone interface. The volume level is independent of your computer’s master volume, giving you fine control during calls.
The C3220 is a newer model with enhanced bass response, SoundGuard acoustic limiting to protect against sudden loud noises, and a reinforced cable strain relief at the headset junction. Both models share the same wideband audio range and noise-canceling microphone technology, but the Blackwire 3220 adds extra durability features for contact centers with higher call volumes.
