Compatibility and setup
The BT300 works with any Plantronics headset that features a Quick Disconnect interface, including popular models from our H-series professional line. Simply detach your headset from its current connection cable and plug the QD connector into the adapter.
Pairing takes under 60 seconds with most devices. We built in multipoint capability so you can connect your desk phone and mobile simultaneously — incoming calls from either device route automatically to your headset. The adapter remembers up to eight paired devices and reconnects to the last two used when powered on.
Wireless range and audio quality
Class 1 Bluetooth technology in the BT300 provides significantly greater range than consumer-grade adapters. You can roam up to 300 feet from your paired device in open environments, or maintain reliable connectivity across typical office layouts with walls and furniture.

The BT300 is compatible with any Plantronics headset that has a Quick Disconnect (QD) connector. This includes all H-series models like the HW251N, HW301N, HW510, and HW540, as well as EncorePro and SupraPlus lines.
If your current headset plugs directly into a phone base or amplifier with a modular connector, it won’t have the QD interface required for the BT300. Check the cable end — QD connectors are circular with a twist-lock mechanism.
Yes, the BT300 pairs with any Bluetooth-enabled device including smartphones, tablets, computers, and desk phones with Bluetooth capability. The adapter itself is device-agnostic on the Bluetooth side.
However, the headset connection side requires a Plantronics QD-compatible headset. You cannot connect headsets from other manufacturers to the BT300 adapter.
The BT300 provides both visual and audio low-battery warnings. The LED indicator flashes red when approximately 30 minutes of talk time remains. You’ll also hear a repeating tone in your headset every few minutes.
We recommend charging the adapter whenever the low-battery warning appears. The battery has no memory effect, so partial charging throughout the day won’t degrade capacity.
